Initially until 31/03/2018

A significant and successful start has been made to the Ageing Better Programme so far and there is now an exciting opportunity to continue to deliver the Age Friendly Island programme, part of the national Ageing Better Big Lottery Fund programme, in either a full time or job share capacity.

This is a newly created post to enable the Programme Manager to focus on the strategic work of the programme. You will be working closely with the project delivery partners monitoring progress against agreed outcomes and overseeing delivery level budgets.

You will also work closely with the programme’s Communications Officer and Programme Manager to develop and oversee a communications strategy for the remainder of the programme.

You will need:

  • Extensive experience of contract management, preferably in the voluntary sector.
  • Experience of project budget management
  • A proven record of stakeholder engagement
  • Staff management experience

About the Author:

My role as the Ageing Better Communications Officer is to provide marketing and communications support and implementation of the communications strategy to the Isle of Wight Ageing Better Programme 'Age Friendly Island'.
